SKULLPANDA
SKULLPANDA is the character known for its dark‑cute aesthetic, expressive emotional themes and fashion‑driven styling. It blends gothic influences with street culture and high‑concept art into a single, instantly recognizable figure. The skull‑like helmet symbolizes protection and the ability to travel through different worlds, while the round “planet buns” represent balance and duality. Every SKULLPANDA series tells a small story, presenting the character in a new persona, mood or universe.

“I never stay in one place, which is why I have no style.”
-SKULLPANDA by Xiong

Xiong Miao, who originally worked as a concept artist in the game industry, founded her own studio to pursue more personal artistic expression. She envisioned SKULLPANDA as a character that breaks away from the typical “cute” tropes often seen in collectible toys. Instead, she wanted something bold and fluid. An alter ego that could shift identities from series to series. This idea lies at the heart of SKULLPANDA: the belief that identity is ever‑changing and that life has no fixed form.
